Suzuki to provide aid for flood disaster in the Kashmir region

Suzuki Motor Corporation has expressed heartfelt sympathy to those affected by the flooding, which occurred in the beginning of September 2014 in the Kashmir region, located in the northern part of India and Pakistan.

Suzuki to provide aid for flood disaster in the Kashmir region

Suzuki Motor Corporation has expressed heartfelt sympathy to those affected by the flooding, which occurred in the beginning of September 2014 in the Kashmir region, located in the northern part of India and Pakistan.

As a support to the affected area, Suzuki Motor Corporation has decided to donate five million yen (Rs 28 lakh) through the Japanese Red Cross Society.

Maruti Suzuki India Limited, Suzuki’s Indian subsidiary, has decided to donate a total of 20 million rupees (Rs 2 crore) from the company and its employees. Also, Pak Suzuki Motor Co., Ltd, Suzuki’s Pakistan subsidiary, has decided to donate supplies worth a total of approximately five million yen (Rs 28 lakh), including two rescue boats equipped with Suzuki outboards and approximately 100 tents for the affected people.
