Steelbird launches DOT-certified helmet at Rs 3,899

Steelbird Hi-Tech India, one of Asia’s largest helmet manufacturers has launched the SA-5 Dot helmet at Rs 3,899. The company says the new helmet has dual certification - DOT (FMVSS No. 218) and BIS (IS 4151:2015). It features a high-impact PC-ABS blend material used for the shell to meet DOT Standards.

SA-5 Dot has multiple air vents for air-flow ventilation system; polycarbonate (PC) anti-scratch coated visor fitted with an anti-fog shield to help reduce fog inside the visor during winters. Also ensuring uninterrupted vision and ease while riding, SA-5 Dot has wind deflector and vortex generators on the visor to reduce air friction. On the back, the helmet features reflective material at the neck pad which helps the rider while riding at night by increasing the visibility for the person behind the rider. Also ensuring hygiene the helmets are equipped with removable, washable interior padding and cheek pads. Other highlights of the models include the high-density cheek pad EPS, double D-Ring fastener and visor locking mechanism.

The helmets are available in sizes – Medium-580mm, Large-600mm and XL-620mm.
