Steelbird Hi-Tech India appoints Shailendra Jain as sales head

March 8, 2013: New Delhi: Steelbird Hi-Tech India (SBHT) has announced the appointment of Shailendra Jain as its new head of sales and marketing. Based at the corporate office in New Delhi, he will be responsible for all operations as the profit centre head and will report to the managing director of SBHT India.

Steelbird Hi-Tech India appoints Shailendra Jain as sales head

March 8, 2013: New Delhi: Steelbird Hi-Tech India (SBHT) has announced the appointment of Shailendra Jain as its new head of sales and marketing. Based at the corporate office in New Delhi, he will be responsible for all operations as the profit centre head and will report to the managing director of SBHT India.

SBHT India is the flagship company of the Steelbird Group in India which manufactures helmets, pannier boxes and auto accessories in India. The company, which has a technical collaboration with Composites Bieffe Srl of Italy, produces more than a million helmets per annum.

"SBHT regards India as a significant growth opportunity and we are delighted to have Shailendra Jain leading our marketing, sales and all market operations to accelerate our momentum here," said Rajeev Kapur, managing director, Steelbird Hi-Tech India. "We are confident that with his wealth of sales experience in spares, vehicles, service and marketing, he will accelerate SBHT’s emergence as a significant volume player in Indian market," added Kapur.

Jain, who holds a PGDM from AIMA, Delhi and marketing management from IIMS, Kolkata, has over 18 years of experience in sales, service and marketing. He began his career with Minda Industries in 1995 and held various sales, marketing and network development positions at regional and national levels for various organisations. Before joining Steelbird last year, he worked for 3M India as regional channel manager – North & West India.
