Spark Minda Group beat Rico Auto to claim the honours.
The tournament, held between October and December 2012 and based on a league-cum-knockout format, saw the participation of 12 teams (Autofit, Ecocat, Gabriel, Mahle Filter Systems, Rico Auto, Roop Polymers, Sandhar Technologies, Senior India, Sona Koyo Steering Systems, Spark Minda, Subros and Visteon Climate Systems) and was held at the TERI Ground on Gurgaon-Faridabad Road.
Speaking on the occasion, Vinnie Mehta, executive director, ACMA, said: “Corporate games not only help in constructive engagement of the youth but also foster team spirit and camaraderie. ACMA believes that such corporate tournaments would not only add an element of fun to work but also promote healthy and positive competition among the young executives of the auto component sector. We are also actively engaged in enlarging the scope of the tournament by organising such events in different parts of the country as well.”
ACMA is to also organise a golf tournament during the forthcoming ACMA Automechanika (February 7-10) in New Delhi. Several corporate teams are expected to actively participate in this event as well.
