Spark Minda, Ashok Minda Group makes a foray into Russia

November 6, 2013: Spark Minda, Ashok Minda Group has announced that it has made a foray in to the Russian market. The company recently participated in the AvtoVAZ Supplier Conference (6th International Forum & Exhibition Autocomponents 2013) at Togliatti, Russia, held from October 15-17.

The automotive forum and supplier conference, which was organized by the government of Samara Region with the support of Russian automaker AvtoVAZ, saw the presence of several automobile manufacturers, auto component suppliers, engineering companies, representatives of foreign organisations, universities and educational centres.

The forum was held to discuss automotive industry initiatives and presentation of the Samara region’s potential as a major automotive manufacturing base in Russia.

The Spark Minda Group showcased a host of current and potential technologies across various vehicle segments at the expo. On exhibit at its booth were products from various categories: safety, security and restraint system, driver information and telematics system, and interior system.



The Group showcased a varied product portfolio, enabling both domestic (Russian) and foreign customers to get a view of the range of products available and also receive information on specific products along with consultancy on site. It also imparted technical know-how, functioning and usage of each product to visitors and customers, thereby providing a complete system solution to OEMs.

The company says many technical experts and representatives of key players in Russia including those from AvtoVaz and UAZ visited its stall.

The delegation from Spark Minda, Ashok Minda Group included Vivek Kumar Sharma (MMSL); N K Taneja (MMSL); Praveen Gupta (MSL); N K Modi (MSIL); Shivaprasad (MSIL); Ritwik Guha (MSL); Michael Fuchs (Rep – MKTSN, MSPS & MCL-PD); Anil Batra (MMSL); and Gadji Nasrudinov (MSIL, Moscow).
