Czech-carmaker Skoda Auto India is looking to improve its brand position in the domestic market and have better connect with customers especially for their aftersales needs. The company, which recently launched the Kushaq SUV, has started the ‘Skoda Compact Workshops’ designed to offer a seamless customer experience.

All Skoda Compact Workshops will be connected to main dealership facilities. The OEM will also start operations in some new markets with this service-first concept, which will cater to existing customers and instil confidence in potential customers in new and emerging markets.

The compact workshops will cater to periodic maintenance services and general repairs. Some of the servicing capabilities include inspection services, replacement of coolant, brake oil, ATF and brake disc or pad replacement. Customers will also be able to avail other minor repairs like replacement of bulbs, wiper blades, car detailing and accessories fitment amongst others’ which don’t require specialised tools. The major jobs as per customer request will be carried out at the main workshop, thus providing customer convenience and reach.

The company says it has grown its network presence by almost 25 percent with the launch of Kushaq and is now present in more than 100 cities across India, with more than 170 customer touchpoints including sales and aftersales facilities.

The Czech carmaker says that it recently also introduced  the ‘Peace of Mind Campaign’, built on four pillars – Cost of ownership, Customer Reach, Convenience and Transparency. Skoda Auto India says it is also increasing the focus on digitalisation.
