Skoda Auto India opens its first dealership in Puducherry
The new dealership facility can display 4 cars in an overall area of 3,000 sqft. while the new workshop spread across 11,000 sqft has a capacity to service approximately 800 cars per month.
Skoda Auto India, which is fast expanding its dealer network, ahead of the launch of the Kushaq midsized SUV on March 18, today inaugurated its first dealership in Puducherry, in line with its aim to reach out to growing markets in India and estalblish a strong fooprint in southern India.
The Czech carmaker, under the purview of the ‘India 2.0’ project, plans to double its network penetration, and expand to 50 new cities over the next three years. It had on February 19 entered the North East with the opening of its first 3S facility (Sales, Service and Spare parts) in Guwahati, Assam. Earlier last month, it also opened two new retail outlets – in Bangalore and two new service workshops in Mumbai.
The new dealership facility in Puducherry, set up by KUN Motors, sports the new corporate identity and design as part of Skoda Auto’s global redesigning process. The showroom has a 4-car display space across 3,000 square feet and a 6-bay workshop that covers 11,000 square feet.

At present, Skoda Auto India sells two models – Rapid and Superb. The soon-to-be-launched Kushaq, which is based on the MBQ – A0 IN platform, will be the first Skoda SUV to be manufactured in India.
