Sergio Luiz Pegoraro Rocha appointed as the CEO of JSW’s EV business
JSW Electric Vehicle appoints Sergio Luiz Pegoraro Rocha as the new CEO for JSW Energy's Electric vehicle arm.
JSW Electric Vehicle, a subsidiary of JSW Energy, has appointed Sergio Luiz Pegoraro Rocha as the CEO. He will report to Prashant Jain, JMD and CEO of JSW Energy.
Sergio was previously working as the President, CEO and Chairman of GM Korea (General Motors, Korea), Uzbekistan and Vietnam operations based out of Seoul, South Korea. He has led business across different continents, managing enterprises of up to $ 17 billion in revenue. A native of Sao Paulo, Brazil, Sergio started his career with Volkswagen and has successfully worked across all organization levels from C-Suite to Plant Floor and with Labour Unions. This senior auto leader has been instrumental in setting up greenfield plants, acquisitions, brand launch and major transformations during his long career in the auto industry. He will be joining soon after he completes his Indian immigration formalities.
In August last year, JSW Energy had announced about its venture in the electric vehicles, energy storage systems and associated business, directly or through one or more subsidiaries.
