There's nothing like a satisfied customer. Scania Commercial Vehicles India is pleasantly learning that. The company has received an order for 200 P 140 (8x4) tippers from India’s leading mining company, BGR Mining and Infra of Hyderabad, which had earlier taken delivery of 150 similar tippers in October last year.     

Speaking on the new order, Anders Grundströmer, managing director, Scania India and senior vice-president, Scania Group, said, “Winning this order is a testimony that our products are industry best. BGR is truly convinced that our tippers are outstanding in performance in toughest terrain conditions and this very performance has materialized into a new order for 200 P 410 tippers. Scania offers unmatched aftermarket services, customer solutions and support, which is very crucial in the mining industry. The P 410 tipper is built to deliver supreme performance in most tested conditions and the product is superior in fuel efficiency and vehicle uptime contributing to outstanding Total Operating Economy.”

B Umapathi Reddy, managing director, BGR Mining and Infra, added, “Scania P410 Tippers offer excellent performance and we are extremely satisfied with the tippers which have helped  increase operation performance and efficiency. Special mention goes to the dedicated aftermarket service of Scania.”

The mining company currently has nearly 250 Scania tippers in its fleet. The P 410 8x4 is equipped with Scania two-pedal Opticruise, a fully automated gear-changing system for best fuel efficiency and ease of driving. It is fitted with an 18.8 cubic metre rock body. This vehicle is renowned for its excellent uptime, reliability and outstanding mileage, contributing to superior Total Operating Economy under stringent conditions.

Scania Commercial Vehicles India, which is to open its bus manufacturing plant on March 31, aims to sell 2,500 trucks and 1,000 buses a year in the Indian market within the next five years.
