Sanjay Tripathi quits Harley-Davidson India

Mumbai, August 28, 2012: Sanjay Tripathi, director, marketing at Harley-Davidson India, has moved out of the company. Having helped set up the Indian operations of the iconic American motorcycle manufacturer and introduce the Harley-Davidson culture through a number of boot camps, Founders’ Ride, Harley Rock Riders and Freedom Film Festival in India, he has resigned after serving two years and 10 months. Tripathi is known to have ridden extensively across India, Japan, Europe and US which includes representing Harley-Davidson India at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
He has over 15 years of experience in marketing two-wheelers. From his first official product launch of the 350cc Royal Enfield Bullet Electra in 2001, Tripathi also held important roles at Honda and Yamaha. He was instrumental in launching Yamaha’s turnaround products like the R!5 and the FZ16, along with high-end bikes like Yamaha YZF-R1 and MT01 in 2007.
