Sandhar Amkin goes international, launches Mavox helmets in Nepal

Sandhar Amkin Industries, the two-year old JV between Sandhar Technologies and Amkin Group, headquartered in Manesar, Gurugram, Haryana, has gone international.

Following the launch of its Mavox brand of helmets on March 27, 2019 in the Indian market, the company has forayed into its first international market with the launch of its two-wheeler helmets in Nepal.

The company says due to the surging demand for high-quality two-wheeler helmets, it has invested in its plant which has a manufacturing capacity of over 2 million helmets per annum at Manesar. Now, the company says it is all set to tap into the escalating helmet market of the neighbouring country.

Commenting on the expansion, Ayyushman Mehta, MD, Mavox Helmets, Sandhar Amkin Industries said, “Considering the emerging markets of Nepal with a great deal of potential, it was a natural progression to enter the helmet segment here. We have appointed a distributor in Nepal to further expand our dealer network in the country. The Nepal market marks the inception of our international journey and we plan to enter South-East Asia and neighbouring countries as these too are emerging markets with lots of potential.”
