SAEIndia Foundation awards for Dr Pawan Goenka, Dr K Kumar

Two noted automobile technologists and an educationist have been awarded with the SAEINDIA Foundation awards for their contribution to Indian mobility.

They include Dr. K. Kumar, former engineering director at Maruti Suzuki, Dr. Pawan Goenka, president – automotive and farm equipment, Mahindra & Mahindra and Dr MGK Babu, ex-Professor and Head, Centre for Energy Studies, IIT Delhi and currently Emeritus Professor , RMK Engineering College, Chennai.

These awards were handed over by R C Bhargava, chairman, Maruti Suzuki in New Delhi. While Dr Kumar was awarded with Life Time Achievement Award, Dr Goenka and Dr Babu were bestowed upon with Engineering Excellence Award and Promotion of Automotive Education Award, respectively.

Established in 2001, the SAEINDIA Foundation, supports educational activities such as collegiate design programs, engineering scholarships, industrial lectureship programs, and financial assistance to students, engineers, scientists, and other outstanding contributors to automotive technology in India.
