Royal Enfield sales grow 10 percent in April

Royal Enfield announced despite persistent challenges on the supply front, the company registered stable volumes in the domestic market.

Royal Enfield sales grow 10 percent in April

Royal Enfield posted a 10 percent year-on-year growth selling 53,852 units in the month of April 2022. The company sold 48,789 units in the same period last year. The sales however dropped 8 percent month-on-month compared to 58,477 units sold in March 2022.

A total of  62,155 motorcycles were sold. This includes 8,303 units of exports during the month as compared to 4,509 units in April 2021.While the exports posted a 84 percent growth, the total sales witnessed a 17 percent growth. Royal Enfield in a release said that despite persistent challenges on the supply front, the company registered stable volumes in the domestic market. 

In order to increase sales further, they have also introduced three new colours on the Meteor 350. The company is also planning to bring in new bikes. With the recent launch of Scram 411, Royal Enfield is expected to further launch two bikes in the 350cc segment and are also working on three new 650 cc motorcycles. Most of these vehicles were spied testing in Chennai and are expected to be launched soon.
