Revolt to enter 4 new cities by March 2020

Gurgaon-based start-up, Revolt Intellicorp which launched the country's first AI-powered electric motorcycle's the RV400 and RV300, in August 2019 for the Delhi and Pune market, has announced plans to add four more cities for retail sales by March 2020.  

Revolt has announced that it will begin sales in Ahmedabad on February 29, followed by Hyderabad on March 2, Chennai on March 5 and Mumbai by end-March. The start up says with the company expands its footprint it has also brought down the waiting period of the RV400 from 5 months to just 90 days for orders starting from March.

Commenting on the announcement, Rahul Sharma, founder, Revolt Intellicorp said: “Since our commercial launch last year in August, we have constantly been receiving interest from consumers and dealers alike in other markets. The overall response to both motorcycles has been phenomenal and it surely indicates that the consumer shift is already underway, and that India is ready for an electric revolution. It reinforces our intent to continually deliver consumer delight and making EVs accessible to the masses. We have now got the delivery waiting period down to 90 days, that should help us in accelerating in getting more motorcycles on the road in the cities soon.”

On the RV400 the company is offering a host of introductory benefits such as unlimited battery warranty (8-years or 150,000km), free maintenance benefits (3-years or 30,000km), product warranty (5-years or 75,000km) and insurance (1-year company owned, 5-years third-party). The RV400 is powered by a 3.24 KWh lithium-ion battery that produces 72V of power and comes with a claimed maximum range of 150km on a single charge giving it a top speed of 85kph.

On the connectivity feature, the electric motorcycles also get the MyRevolt App that offers a host of features including trip monitor, geo-fencing, locate your bike, change sound of the exhaust from the 4-preset available, find Switch Stations to swap battery when running low and host of other features. The bikes are sold with a monthly instalment plan starting at Rs 2,999 for the RV300 and Rs 3,999 for the top-spec RV400.
