Repsol synthetic motorcycle oil launched in India

The MCO synthetic range follows the launch of Repsol’s mineral range of MCO and is available as a fully synthetic product ‘Repsol Moto 4T Sintetico 10W-50’ and synthetic blend engine oil ‘Repsol Moto 4T Sport XTI 15W-50’ in the Indian market.

Repsol synthetic motorcycle oil launched in India

UAE-based lubricant maker GP Petroleums part of the UAE-based Gulf Petrochem Group, today launched the Spanish oil major Repsol’s first ever fully synthetic motorcycle oils (MCO) in Chennai, India.

Commenting at the launch, Hari Prakash, CEO, GP Petroleums, said, “Keeping in mind the consumer need and response to the previous products we decided to bring in the synthetic oil range in the Motor Cycle Oil (MCO) segment which will be first of its kind from Repsol in India. The market for synthetic oil is a fast growing one in India. This product will be targeted at any bike above 150 CC. Along with this product we have also introduced products in the passenger car motor oil (PCMO) and commercial vehicle (CV) category.”

The MCO synthetic range follows the launch of Repsol’s mineral range of MCO and is available as a fully synthetic product ‘Repsol Moto 4T Sintetico 10W-50’ and synthetic blend engine oil Repsol Moto 4T Sport XTI 15W-50 in the Indian market. In addition to the MCO synthetic range, also launched at the event were the ‘Repsol Elite Formula Super 15W40’ for the PCMO category and Repsol Diesel Super Turbo 15W40 CH 4 for the diesel engine oil (DEO) category.

Repsol has also been associated with major Motorcycle OEMs, for developing high performance lubricants, partnering and participating jointly in car rallies. Repsol lubricants are developed at its global R&D centre in Spain, which cater to the newly emerging premium and top end segments.  

The lubricant makers’ products are commercialised in more than 70 countries, for India they are produced by GP Petroleums at their manufacturing plants in the country, with modern testing facilities, in accordance to the stringent quality standards, certified by Repsol.
