Ramkrishna Forgings bags Rs 70 crore order from US axle manufacturer
The company plans to increase its export sales
Ramkrishna Forgings Limited, a supplier of auto components has bagged orders worth around Rs 70 crore from a US-based axle manufacturer, the company informed in a regulatory filing. The company said the order is for a light commercial vehicle (LCV) and will be for a period of over five years.
Milesh Gandhi, Vice President (Marketing), Ramkrishna Forgings said: “This significant recognition of our project in rear axle applications will help us to promote continued export revenue growth. Our on-going efforts to expand in the global market have assisted us in increasing our export sales and improving our relationships with global customers".
The company is looking to make further inroads into the LCV market due to its better demand predictability. Kolkata-based Ramkrishna Forgings counts some of the key OEMs as customers including Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, VE Commercial and Daimler in India and to Volvo, Mack Trucks, Iveco, DAF, Scania, MAN, UD Trucks and Ford Otosan in the overseas markets. The company also supplies globally to Tier 1 axle manufacturers like Dana, Meritor and American Axles.
Meanwhile, the company management during its Q3FY2022 investor call in January said it has received six contracts totalling Rs 220 crore from across various geographies and business verticals.
