PMI Electro gets LoA for operating 100 more electric buses in Rajkot

The tender for these 50 electric buses was awarded to PMI Electro Mobility in 2019.

PMI Electro gets LoA for operating 100 more electric buses in Rajkot

PMI Electro Mobility has been awarded the LoA (Letter of Authorization) for providing, maintaining and operating 100 electric buses for 10 years by the Rajkot Municipal Corporation. The latest order is in addition to the previous order of 50 electric buses that have been supplied by PMI to the Rajkot Municipal Corporation. 

The tender for these 50 electric buses was awarded to PMI Electro Mobility in 2019. The latest tender for 100 e-buses, on the other hand, was floated by Rajkot Municipal Corporation in February, 2021. As per this tender, PMI will be providing and operating electric buses on the BRTS corridor. 

PMI Electro Mobility will be providing 100 units of 9m electric buses. These buses are equipped with advanced features such as CCTV cameras, air suspension, RTMS (real-time monitoring system), and several other safety provisions.

PMI Electro Mobility is emerging as one of the fastest-growing electric bus brands in the country. The make-in-India company has over 600 electric buses plying in more than 20 cities in India.  

Jain added that, "Our buses are equipped with a raft of modern features and offer unparalleled comfort to the passengers. Provisions such as RTMS help us ensure passenger's safety while a keen focus on technology development has ensured zero breakdowns for all our e-buses."   

PMI Electro, incorporated in 2017 and has an annual capacity of 1500 electric CVs. The company has been able to record about 9.5 million green kms and save 5,500 MTs of CO2. The company has an order size of over 1,300 electric CVs under FAME-II.
