Pioneer India Electronics, the in-car entertainment and home audio systems company, today unveiled its new range of India-focused products for 2015. They range from AV players (8 models), DVD players, CD and USB players (9 models) to speakers (7 models), and sub-woofers (6 models) priced between Rs 1,200 to Rs 29,990.

The company says the sub-woofers have been designed after extensive India-focused research and offer a plethora of new and improved functions that promise to deliver a revolutionary in-car audio experience.

The new car music systems come equipped with the new Todoroki EQ technology, which is meant for those who want to enjoy their music in an amplified manner. Japanese engineers designed this EQ curve technology after listening to more than 1,000 Indian songs to give more powerful, bass rich sound and reproduce bright and clear high tones without compromising on vocals.

Pioneer has also introduced the new App Radio Mode USB feature and App Radio Live, which revolutionises the driver’s smartphone experience as apps from the smartphones can be viewed and controlled directly from the touchscreen display. This means that along with basic telephonic functions, consumers can now access various smartphone applications through the touch screen with just a USB cable. The new range also boasts of speakers that have been exclusively developed for Indian music to deliver unmatched sound reproduction. They are also designed to survive in extreme Indian conditions, such as prolonged heat, moisture and dust.

Commenting on the occasion, Minoru Ogawa, managing director, Pioneer India Electronics, said, “India has always been an important market for us. While most companies repackage their products for Indian consumers, Pioneer has made genuine efforts in studying the needs of Indian consumers and has then designed new models and features that cater to the requirements. Our India-specific speakers TS-C600IN and the new preset equalization: TodorokiEQ, are a few examples. A lot of research and resources have gone into developing these features.”

Meanwhile, Arimasa Kinoshita, general manager, Pioneer India, commented, “We set a new standard with MIXTRAX, the Car DJ solution, a few years ago and we are doing the same with App Radio. With App Radio Live application and Mirror link in most of our touch-screen products, one can easily access and run selected mobile applications.”

Gaurav Kulshreshtha, manager (Marketing), Pioneer India, added, “There is a phenomenal change in technology and India is riding on the top of this wave. Keeping the fast-paced changes in mind, our line-up for this year is focused on the ‘smartphone generation’ of young India. Our new line-up has several touch-screen options with very advanced but easy to understand connectivity and navigation tools.”
