Piaggio launches Moto Guzzi V9 and MGX-21 in India
While the V9 Roamer and Bobber are priced at Rs 13.6 lakh, the MGX-21 costs Rs 27.78 lakh (All prices ex-showroom Pune).
The Piaggio Group has expanded its Moto Guzzi portfolio in India by launching the V9 and MGX-21 motorcyles today. The bikes will be available through the group’s Motoplex stores in Pune, Chennai, Kochi, Hyderabad and Chennai and will add to Moto Guzzi’s existing India portfolio of Audace, ElDorado, California Touring 1400, California Touring Custom and Griso SE.
The V9, a mid-sized custom bike, will be available in two versions, Roamer and Bobber, each with its own style. While the V9 Roamer and Bobber are priced at Rs 13.6 lakh, the MGX-21 costs Rs 27.78 lakh (All prices ex-showroom Pune).
Autocar Professional first broke the news of the V9 Roamer and Bobber motorcycles coming to India as CBUs in March and later in August.
With the Vespa, Aprilia and now Moto Guzzi, Piaggio Group’s India portfolio features a diverse range of products across all segments.
The V9 Roamer and Bobber are Moto Guzzi’s easy cruisers, light, agile and built for excitement, like all Moto Guzzi’s at Mandello del Lario, Italy.
The V9 debuts the new 850cc twin cylinder euro 4 engine. The full complement of factory equipment includes ABS, adjustable traction control that can also be disabled, immobilizer and a USB port.
The MGX-21 marks the brand’s entry into the bagger segment of the market. It also includes a luxurious instrumentation that incorporates an entertainment system. The equipment is completed by safety devices such as ABS, adjustable traction control which can also be disabled, the Ride-by-Wire accelerator and cruise control.
