Petrol price hiked by Rs 1.23, diesel by 89 paise a litre
With this, the price for a litre of petrol stands at Rs 66.91 in Delhi, Rs 69.52 in Kolkata, Rs 78.44 in Mumbai and Rs 69.93 in Chennai. Diesel now costs Rs 55.94 in Delhi, Rs 58.28 in Kolkata, Rs 61.67 in Mumbai and Rs 59.22 in Chennai.
Oil marketing companies have hiked the price of petrol by Rs 1.23 a litre and that of diesel by 89 paise a litre.
With this, the price for a litre of petrol stands at Rs 66.91 in Delhi, Rs 69.52 in Kolkata, Rs 78.44 in Mumbai and Rs 69.93 in Chennai. Diesel now costs Rs 55.94 in Delhi, Rs 58.28 in Kolkata, Rs 61.67 in Mumbai and Rs 59.22 in Chennai.
The latest revision in fuel prices follows the Rs 2.16 a litre cut in petrol and Rs 2.10 a litre cut in diesel prices on May 16. A fortnight before that, on May 1, petrol prices were raised by 1 paise per litre and diesel by 44 paise a litre.
