New Kia Seltos bookings exceed 100,000, automatics account for 50%
Kia India sees strong consumer demand for its latest avatar of its best-selling product; 80% bookings for top variants; 40% choose ADAS-equipped variants; ratio of petrol-to-diesel bookings is 58:42 percent.
Bookings for the facelifted Kia Seltos, which was launched in July 2023 with prices starting from Rs 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom), have crossed the 100,000 mark.
According to Kia India, the premium automatic transmission-equipped Seltos variants have emerged as the top choice amongst the buyers for the midsize SUV and account for 50% of the total bookings till date. Also, 80% of buyers have opted for top variants (HTK+ onwards), while over 40% have chosen ADAS variants reflecting the growing awareness of advanced active safety features.
The Seltos bookings trends also mirror the strong consumer preference for sunroofs in India, with 80% of Seltos buyers opting for this feature. The ratio of petrol-to-diesel bookings is 58:42 percent.
Since the Seltos’ market entry in August 2019, Kia India has manufactured over 600,000 of them, with nearly 75% sold in the domestic market.
