National Engineering Industries (NEI) has unveiled a new brand logo in sync with its brand transformation and dynamic business strategy.

National Engineering Industries (NEI) has unveiled a new brand logo in sync with its brand transformation and dynamic business strategy. The new identity is aimed at reflecting the company’s progress to a global player backed with world class manufacturing, technology and professionally run management.

NEI plans to invest around Rs100 crore annually for next 5 years for capacity enhancement in existing three plants and setting up the fourth plant besides increasing spend on R&D to one percent of its turnover. The fourth plant will be located at either Gujarat and Karnataka, for which the due diligence in being conducted.

NEI, part of the CK Birla Group, has a strong presence in automotive, railway and industrial sector and a market share of 24 percent. Founded in the year 1946, the company has been manufacturing bearings since 1950. The company has manufacturing facilities in Jaipur, Newai and Manesar. It exports to over 20 countries in 5 continents. The current client portfolio includes Hero Motocorp, Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, Bajaj Auto, Honda Motorcycles & Scooters India, TAFE, VE Commercial Vehicles, Ashok Leyland, Indian Railways, Daimler (Germany), Conmet (USA) and Agrale (Brazil).

Rohit Saboo, President and CEO, NEI, (on the left in the picture) said,” As part of the aggressive growth plans, we are considering acquisitions besides organic growth with new and innovative product introductions at higher frequency. R&D continues to be a key focus area and we intend to increase spend to 1% of the turnover.”

The company was awarded the ‘Deming Application Award’ in 2010 for total quality management.
