Nagesh Basavanhalli joins Alliance Tire Group

Nagesh Basavanhalli, former president and managing director of Fiat Chrysler India, has joined Alliance Tire Group (ATG), a leading global player in the off-highway tyre business.

He joins ATG as group president of emerging markets and will be based in Mumbai. Basavanhalli will be responsible for developing and executing the strategy to grow business in the emerging markets comprising of India, Asia-Pacific, Middle East, Africa, South Africa and Brazil.

Basavanhalli's appointment last month is part of ATG's strategy to re-organise its business organisation by creating three distinct units of Europe, North America and emerging markets. India is a key export base for ATG. Two of its three manufacturing plants are located in India.
