MV Agusta finds its first Indian customer in Benelli & Hyosung’s India partner
The F4 RR, priced at Rs 35.50 lakh, is the first MV Agusta to be sold in India after the Italian motorcycle brand joined hands with the Pune-based Kinetic Group.
The F4 RR, priced at Rs 35.50 lakh, is the first MV Agusta to be sold in India after the Italian motorcycle brand joined hands with the Pune-based Kinetic Group. And the customer happens to be Shirish Kulkarni, a superbike enthusiast and the chairman of DSK Benelli India.
Ajinkya Firodia, managing director of MV Agusta India, said: "We are really excited to deliver the first F4 RR for India and also that Mr Kulkarni is the first customer. This is what biking is all about.”
The superbike market in India has been growing aggressively over the past five years and has seen various new brand launches. Having begun with the introduction of the Hyosung brand in India, it currently boasts of various international brands with prices ranging from Rs 3 lakh to Rs 40 lakh.
The 998cc F4 RR is powered by an in-line four-cylinder engine which develops 201bhp and delivers a top speed of 297kph. Product highlights include an inertia control platform with lean angle sensor, a redefined riding position, full Ride-By-Wire, Öhlins electronic suspension and steering damper as well as GP-spec titanium con rods. The F4 RR is the top-end version of the F4 series.
