Motherson Sumi records best quarter and revenue, net profit up 39%

Automotive components major Motherson Sumi Systems (MSSL) has reported its best ever quarterly result, in Q2 FY2017-18 the revenue was Rs. 13,338 crores, an increase of 33 percent. The net profit was Rs 502 crore, an increase of 39 percent.
The consolidated EBITDA came at Rs 1,354 crore an increase of 31 percent compared to Rs 1,035 crore for the same quarter the previous year.
Commenting on the record results, Vivek Chaand Sehgal, chairman, Motherson Sumi Systems, said: “This has been yet another excellent quarter for MSSL with an encouraging growth in both revenues and net profit. We witnessed strong inflow of new orders which highlights customers’ continued faith in our execution capabilities and product quality. We are firmly on track to achieve our 2020 targets.”
