Minda Valeo Security Systems bags M&M supplier certification award

August 19, 2013: Minda Valeo Security Systems, Pune, a 50:50 joint venture between Spark Minda, Ashok Minda Group and Valeo Security Systems, France, has been awarded the ‘B’ level certificate under the MSES (Mahindra Supplier Evaluation Standard) at Mahindra & Mahindra, Kandivali.

MSES is a very stringent supplier evaluation model which is based on the Renault ASES global model. The evaluation criteria for this award are based on quality policy and quality assurance system, analysis of quality concerns for current products, quality assurance at process development stage, quality assurance at pre-production stage, quality assurance at production stage, and sub-supplier management.

From a total of 75 suppliers which were audited, only 16 suppliers qualified for the ‘B’ level certification which is the key requirement for companies to conduct future business with M&M and a step towards achieving the ‘A’ level award.

Minda Valeo Security Systems, which was ranked fifth in all respects, is the first of the Spark Minda, Ashok Minda Group companies to receive this certification.

The award was given away by Hemant Sikka, Chief Purchasing officer, M&M, to Jeevan Mahaldar, managing director, D Saxena, R Gujar and U Deshmukh (pilot for MSES) who represented Minda Valeo Security Systems.
