The tyremaker claims the Primacy LC tyre efficiently fulfills both these requirements. Designed as a high performance tyre suited for saloons ranging from the Maruti Suzuki SX4 to the Mercedes-Benz C-class, the Primacy LC is what Michelin is banking on to take its market share from 14 percent to 17 percent in the high-performance tyre segment in Asia-Pacific over the next five years.

According to Jean Paul Caylar, Michelin's CEO in India, “We continue to strive towards developing products apt for our consumer needs, which vary with region and geographic conditions. Primacy LC is yet another innovation which comes with enhanced safety, longevity, fuel saving and silence.” Available in 15- and 16- inch rim sizes, the Primacy LC costs between Rs 4,900-9,000 depending on the vehicle and exact tyre size.
