Mercedes-Benz India expands dealer network to Vadodara
March 22, 2013: Mercedes-Benz has announced the launch of its new dealership ‘Benchmark Cars’ in Vadodara, thereby expanding its presence in Gujarat. Located at Kalali Vadsar Road, the new dealership is spread over 35,000 square feet. The Rs 7 crore dealership was set up within 10 months.
March 22, 2013: Mercedes-Benz has announced the launch of its new dealership ‘Benchmark Cars’ in Vadodara, thereby expanding its presence in Gujarat. Located at Kalali Vadsar Road, the new dealership is spread over 35,000 square feet. The Rs 7 crore dealership was set up within 10 months.
Speaking at the launch, Eberhard Kern, MD and CEO of Mercedes-Benz India, said: “With a presence across 33 cities through 59 outlets, Mercedes-Benz clearly demonstrates its commitment to the Tier 2 and 3 markets in India. Vadodara is an important business hub and one of the high potential cities of India. It is therefore natural for us to set up operations here.
Benchmark Cars started as a dealer for Mercedes-Benz in 2009 and over the years has spread its operations to 5 locations (Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Indore and Kolkata). Since then, it has bagged recognition within Mercedes-Benz India dealerships including the best Customer Satisfaction, Best Service Quality, Best Service awards in 2011. Till date, Benchmark Cars has around 2,000 Mercedes-Benz cars.

With state-of-the-art service equipment and highly skilled personnel, the workshop has been built at par with the brand’s global standard. The unit has 10 service bays and can undertake general repairs and accident jobs, spares, and 24-hour aftersales support.
