Mercedes-Benz opens dealership in Thiruvananthapuram, its eighth in Kerala

Mercedes-Benz India expands its dealer network in Kerala with its eighth dealership in Kerala and its 93rd in India.

Luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz India has further expanded its dealership network in the country. The company today inaugurated Rajasree Motors in Thiruvananthapuram,  marking it as its eighth showroom in Kerala.

The dealership spread across 9,000 square feet has been set up in a span of six months at a cost of Rs 3 crore. The dealership, which has a display area of seven cars, is staffed by 15 professionally trained employees who will ensure personalised service, catering to the city but also to neighboring cities.

With this, Mercedes-Benz India has further expanded its network presence among luxury car makers to 93 outlets spread across 45 cities. The company said it sold 15,330 units in 2017, continuing its leadership for a record three years in a row (2015-2017).

Roland Folger, managing director and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India said, “India is one of the key emerging markets globally for Mercedes-Benz, and for us emerging Tier 2 markets like Thiruvananthapuram, are going to play a significant role in our future growth story. Kerala remains an important market for Mercedes-Benz India as there is a burgeoning demand for luxury cars in this region. \

S Sivakumar, managing director, Rajasree Motors said, “Kerala is one of the fastest growing luxury car markets in the country, and Thiruvananthapuram has been a major growth contributor. The strategic location of the showroom will not only cater to the city but also to the neighboring towns, helping the brand to expand further.”
