In line with its ambitious goal to achieve 15% of India’s two-wheeler tyre market by 2023, company appoints 800 dealers in FY2021.
Tyre manufacturer Maxxis India has announced plans to expand its dealer network by 5-7% by the end of this fiscal. The company added over 800 dealerships during the pandemic in FY2021, mainly with a view to enhance customer accessibility and the company’s footprint in rural India.
At present, Maxxis has a total of over 3,000 dealerships in India. A significant number of new dealers are from Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, and Haryana.
Commenting on the business plan, Chu Tsang Chih (Kurachi), Director, Maxxis India, said, “With our vision to achieve 15% of India’s two-wheeler tyre market by 2023, the expansion of dealerships is a significant step in this direction. As we move closer to achieve our target, we would like to enhance Maxxis Tyres all-India footprint by consolidating our current channel partners and adding more dealers in our portfolio. Our aim is to enhance Maxxis network to 5% by end of this fiscal, this will give us a fillip in reaching out to our stakeholders across every nook and corner of the country. With our current 3,000-strong dealers, we aim to amplify our customer outreach and expect to maintain this momentum in future as well”.
