Maserati Ghibli comes to India in its 2018 avatar

Maserati brings its 2018 version of Ghibli in two versions- GranLusso and GranSport.

The first diesel engine in Maserati’s history, the 2018 Ghibli is powered by a 3.0-litre V6 with Common-Rail direct injection exclusively developed by Maserati in collaboration with VM Motori. It is one of the best selling sedans in India for Maserati.

The Euro 6 homologated engine unit of Ghibli includes AdBlue technology and Auto Start-Stop to reduce overall fuel and COemissions by up to 6%, according to Maserati.It also comes with an ‘Active Sound System’ to give the V6 engine a thrilling exhaust growl. He car has a power output of 275 hp and the company claims that it achieves a CO2 emission of 158g/km. As per an official release, Ghibli has a combined fuel consumption of 5.9 litres/100km and a 70-litre tank. The torque figure stands at  6000 Nm with the inclusion of over-boost turbocharging. It accelerates from 0 to 100kmph in 6.3 seconds and they also claim a top speed of 250kmph.

The 2018 version of Ghibli is the first Maserati to be fitted with Adaptive full LED headlights with glare-free Matrix high-beam. It is standard in GranLusso and GranSport. It comes installed with Skyhook suspension system. The new Ghibli has also adopted the Integrated Vehicle Control system (IVC), which helps to prevent vehicle instability, providing enhanced active safety and improved driving dynamics to give its drivers a thrilling performance. The 2018 iteration also comes with the newly-introduced active functions of the Advanced Driving Assistance Systems (ADAS).

Maserati has introduced Ghibli in two new versions- GranLusso and GranSport. Ghibli GranLusso has an enhanced exterior finish and an option of a luxurious interior with Ermenegildo Zegna silk upholstery, while Gransport is the sportier version that is visible in its exterior design and interior contents.

Maserati had begun 2018 in India with the launch of Maserati Quattroporte GTS and its premium SUV, Levante.
