Maruti Suzuki launches limited edition Swift RS
New Delhi, July 2, 2013: Maruti Suzuki India has introduced a limited edition Swift RS, a sporty version of the Swift hatchback. The Swift RS gets signature-style interiors and exterior features.
New Delhi, July 2, 2013: Maruti Suzuki India has introduced a limited edition Swift RS, a sporty version of the Swift hatchback. The Swift RS gets signature-style interiors and exterior features. These include an RS three-piece body kit comprising front and rear bumper enrichment and a roof spoiler, black-and-blue motorsport-inspired graphics, black wheel covers and outside rearview mirrors in the blue signature theme.
Inside the car, the upholstery is in art leather black-and-blue colour combinations. There is also a high-end music system with CD player, AUX-in and USB facility.
Commenting on the Swift RS, Manohar Bhat, vice-president (marketing), Maruti Suzuki India, said, “The Swift RS is in continuation of Maruti Suzuki’s celebrations planned around the Swift model as it moves towards the one million cumulative sales mark. The Swift has cumulatively sold over 9.6 lakh units since its launch in May 2005.”
The Swift RS enhancement package is priced at Rs 24,500. The Swift RS will be available in VXi (Petrol) and VDi (Diesel) variants at Maruti Suzuki dealers across the country from early July 2013 for a limited period.Meanwhile, Maruti continues to bear the pressure of a slowing economy, rising fuel prices and growing competition. The company has posted a decline of 7.8 percent in its June 2013 domestic sales. It sold a total of 77,002 units during the month compared to 83,531 units in June 2012.
