Maruti Suzuki today launched the all-new Swift 2021. The popular hatchback, now in its latest avatar, is powered by a new 90hp, 1.2-litre DualJet petrol engine that’s also used in the Dzire; the current Swift uses an 83hp unit. The unit is paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox.

Maruti Suzuki claims best-in-class fuel efficiency of 23.20 kilometres per litre in MT and 23.76kpl in AGS variants. The new Swift's pricing starts at rs 573,000 for the base LXI variant and goes up to Rs 841,000 for the AMT-equipped ZXI+ dual-tone variant.

Introducing the new Swift,  Shashank Srivastava, Executive Director (Marketing & Sales), Maruti Suzuki India, said, “Since its launch in 2005, Swift has revolutionised the premium hatchback segment in India. Swift with its sporty performance, upright stance and unmistakable road presence emphasizes individuality that stands out from the crowd. This ‘coming of the age’ car was designed keeping in mind the evolved preferences of the modern day customer. Over the years, Swift has earned the warmth of nearly 2.4 million customers. The new Swift takes this legacy a notch higher with a new powerful K-series engine, sportier dual tone exterior, best-in-class fuel efficiency and enhanced safety features.””

The new Swift, which bears a new sporty cross-mesh grille, gets refreshed silver interior ornamentation and dual-tone exteriors.
