Maruti Suzuki launches 2021 Swift at Rs 573,000
Popular hatchback, which is one of the carmaker’s best sellers, launched with new 90hp engine.
Maruti Suzuki today launched the all-new Swift 2021. The popular hatchback, now in its latest avatar, is powered by a new 90hp, 1.2-litre DualJet petrol engine that’s also used in the Dzire; the current Swift uses an 83hp unit. The unit is paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox.
Maruti Suzuki claims best-in-class fuel efficiency of 23.20 kilometres per litre in MT and 23.76kpl in AGS variants. The new Swift's pricing starts at rs 573,000 for the base LXI variant and goes up to Rs 841,000 for the AMT-equipped ZXI+ dual-tone variant.

The new Swift takes this legacy a notch higher with a new powerful K-series engine, sportier dual tone exterior, best-in-class fuel efficiency and enhanced safety features.””
The new Swift, which bears a new sporty cross-mesh grille, gets refreshed silver interior ornamentation and dual-tone exteriors. Other highlights are cruise control, idle start and stop and key synchronized auto foldable ORVMs. Inside, the new Swift comes with a twin-pod meter cluster and a new 10.67cm multi-information coloured TFT display. The 17.78 cm Smartplay Studio infotainment system combines smartphone, vehicle and cloud-based services.
On the safety front, there are features such as Electronic Stability Program (ESP) with hill-hold in AGS variants, steering with enhanced return ability mechanism, new bigger sized front and rear brakes. The ESP and the hill-hold function in the AGS variants of the new Swift 2021 detect vehicle skid movement and restrain the same. The new Swift also comes equipped with dual airbags, ABS with EBD, Pre-tensioner and force limiter seatbelts, driver and co-driver seat belt reminder, ISOFIX, reverse parking sensors with a rear view camera, making it ideal for driving enthusiasts.
