Maruti Suzuki BS VI-compliant WagonR CNG launched at Rs 525,000

Maruti Suzuki India, the country's largest carmaker launched the S-CNG variant of the BS VI-compliant New WagonR at prices starting Rs 525,000 for the Lxi variant (ex-Delhi). According to the company, this is aligned with its Mission Green Million, announced at the Auto Expo-2020. The WagonR has a tank capacity of 60-litres (water equivalent), and offers a mileage of 32.52 km/kg.  The WagonR S-CNG Lxi (O) variant is priced at Rs 532,000 (ex-Delhi).

The company had started its CNG journey over a decade ago, and has already sold over million green vehicles that include CNG and hybrid. Maruti Suzuki India says it now aims to sell the next million green vehicles in the next couple of years.

The OEM says its S-CNG vehicle portfolio come equipped with dual interdependent ECUs (Electronic Control Units) and intelligent injection system. The vehicles are factory fitted, and specially tuned and calibrated to deliver optimum performance and enhanced drivability across all kinds of terrains.
