Maruti launches limited edition Ertiga

Maruti Suzuki India has announced that its Ertiga MPV has crossed the milestone of 150,000 unit sales since the car’s launch in April 2012. In Q1 2014-15 (April-June 2014), the Ertiga has sold over 14,000 units.
To commemorate this milestone, the OEM has introduced an Ertiga Limited Edition model in petrol (Rs 676,836), CNG (Rs 734,872) and Diesel (Rs 805,677, ex-showroom Delhi) variants, available in a new pearl blaze blue colour (in addition to Superior White and Silky Silver Metallic) with what the company says are factory-fitted high-end features is attractively priced.
According to Manohar Bhat, vice-president, marketing, Maruti Suzuki India, “The new Ertiga Limited Edition has a sleek chrome grille, plush interiors, aesthetically designed spoilers with classy body graphics and decals. Overall, we have sold over 150,000 units in the domestic market. The Ertiga was the fastest to achieve this milestone in the B segment. Customers have appreciated the Ertiga for its compact size, contemporary looks, ergonomic design, and the flexibility of 5+2 seating.”
The Ertiga is to get a serious rival in the Honda Mobilio which is to be launched on July 23. Indications are that the car will be priced at a premium to the Ertiga in the region of Rs 680,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
