Mahle Filter Systems India has begun production at its Parwanoo Plant 2 in Himachal Pradesh. Built at an estimated cost of Rs 6 crore, installed capacity is expected to be in the region of 22 million filters per annum.

Products from here will be supplied to MFSI’s existing and new customers like Tata Motors, M&M, and Bosch. It will also cater to both exports and domestic replacement market. In the initial phase, the plant will manufacture PU moulded air filter elements, plastic-embedded filter elements and lube oil filters based on a new crimping design. The plant will generate over 150 direct and indirect jobs.
