Good news on the sales front has not been seen for some time now in India. So, when Mahindra & Mahindra says it has delivered 400 small commercial vehicles (SCVs) in the states of Bihar and Jharkhand on a single day, it's reason for some cheer.

The sale of 400 SCVs included the Alfa (load and passenger versions), the Jeeto Load and Supro. This is the first time that the company has delivered such a large number of vehicles in one day. Bihar and Jharkhand have been among the leading states having buyers for Mahindra SCVs.

Satinder Singh Bajwa, Business Head- Small Commercial Vehicles, Mahindra & Mahindra, said, “As one of the prominent players in SCVs, it is up to us to create new benchmarks and what better time to do this than during the festive season? Our range of commercial vehicles has grown from strength to strength and we are humbled by the continuous trust reposed in us by our customers for over a decade. We are excited to be a part of the festive season in the states of Bihar & Jharkhand.”

The Alfa Plus three-wheeler, which has a longer wheelbase, a comfortable and spacious cabin, power engine and high mileage, is claimed to offer a 20 percent increase in load volume. The Mahindra Alfa passage carrrier, available in three variants – Alfa Dx, Alfa Champ and Alfa Comfy – offers a comfortable ride, spacious cabin and high mileage along with the lowest maintenance in its category.

M&M says the Jeeto Load carrier is a game changer in last-mile distribution with its modular range, as it offers multiple options to choose from – 2 powertrains of 11hp and 16hp, 2 payloads of 600 and 700kg and 3 deck lengths of 1630mm, 1780mm and 1930mm.These combinations are available across a range of 8 mini-trucks.

Likewise the Supro brand, which was conceptualised with multiple engine and fuel options, multiple body forms and modern style, safety and technology features. The Supro portfolio comprises 11 variants across passenger and cargo vehicles available in diesel, CNG and electric.
