Mahindra’s Maxximo minitruck crosses 1 lakh milestone

August 13, 2012: Mahindra &Mahindra has announced that its mini-truck offering, Maxximo, has crossed the 100,000 mark in domestic sales since its launch. P.N. Shah, chief executive - Automotive Sector – M&M said: This product has firmly established itself with its advanced-technology proposition that offers greater earning, less fatigue, more peace-of-mind and more status to its owner.
In a press release, M&M quoted studies by market-research agencies, IMRB and TNS, as ranking the Maxximo as No. 1 on the parameters of ‘advanced technology’,’powerful’ and ‘car-like’. Apart from the mini-truck, the Maxximo platform offers three more products in the load and passenger segments which include a CNG variant, the Maxximo Minivan and the Maxximo Minivan VX (Hardtop with sliding doors). While the minivan sold 6,159 units in Q1 of the current fiscal, the minivan VX sold 252 units. M&M has claimed a 25 percent share of the market with this platform.
