Mahindra Electric appoints Martin Murray as CTO

Mahindra & Mahindra's electric mobility arm, the Bangalore-based Mahindra Electric has appointed Martin Murray as its Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Murray has over 30 years of global experience in the automotive space.

Murray will be responsible for product engineering, project engineering, mobility solutions and program management, and will report to Mahesh Babu, CEO, Mahindra Electric.

Before joining Mahindra Electric, Murray ran his own consulting in EV space. In his earlier stint, he has over 30 years of work experience with General Motors, where he headed various positions. Murray also spent over 15 years in diverse markets like Japan, South Korea and China among others with GM. He has played a crucial role in the roll-out of Chevrolete Volt EV and its overall electrification project.

Murray holds a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology and an MBA from Middle Tennessee State University.
