On February 20, Magna Electronics Inc, an operating unit of Magna International Inc., announced it has acquired Allied Transportation Technology, Inc, Troy, Michigan. Allied produces ultrasonic sensing systems used for parking assistance and back-up object detection.“The acquisition of Allied will provide Magna Electronics with enhanced technology and products that will complement our strong line of existing driver assistance systems,” said Francois Truc, vice-president and general manager of Magna Electronics North America and Asia. “These added technologies will enable us to deliver more complete systems solutions to our customers in the important safety and convenience areas.”
