Lumax Industries rejigs top deck: Deepak Jain elevated to CMD

Automotive lighting solutions major Lumax Industries has made fresh appointments to its board. D K Jain has been appointed Chairman Emeritus and chief mentor to the Board, with effect from April 1, 2018. Earlier chairman of  the Board, D K Jain, who has over 50 years’ experience  in operations and administrative roles, will continue to be a guiding force for the company. A pioneer of the Indian automotive industry, he is an MBA from Delhi University and a Harvard Business School Alumni.

Mr Jain has earlier been president of ACMA, president of Suppliers Association – Toyota Kirloskar Motors, chairman of Trade Affairs Committee ACMA, co-chairman of Regional Committee on Membership of Northern Region CII and CSR sub-committee of the Northern Region of CII.

Lumax Industries has also announced the elevation of Deepak Jain, managing director, to chairman. Deepak Jain has held several positions in the industry including regional chairman, Northern Region, ACMA; chairman of ACMA’s HR/IR & Skill Development Committee; chairman of Sustainable Technology Development Committee of ACMA; national coordinator of Young Business Leader Forum of ACMA; president of Supplier’s Club, Honda Cars India; and vice-president of Toyota Kirloskar Suppliers’ Association. He is also a member of the Young President Organisation and Entrepreneurs’ Organisation.

The auto lighting company has also elevated Vineet Sahni as CEO and senior executive director. Sahni, who was earlier CEO, has also been nominated as the Key Managerial Personnel (KMP) of the company in place of Deepak Jain. Sahni, who has over 30 years of varied leadership experience in the automotive industry, is a B.E. Mechanical from Delhi College of Engineering and holds a PG Diploma in Business Management.
