Lanxess India appoints Dr Jacques Perez as its new MD

Specialty chemicals major Lanxess India has appointed, effective May 1, 2014, Dr Jacques Perez as its managing director and vice-chairman. He will also be the country representative for the company. This will be in addition to his earlier responsibility as a director and CFO at Lanxess India.

With 25 years of work experience, Dr Perez was with the pharmaceutical industry holding key positions in Europe, South America and Asia in key positions in marketing and sales, project management, internal audit, supply chain and finance before joining Lanxess. He has been with Lanxess since July 2008 as CFO of Lanxess Elastomeros do Brasil S.A in Brazil.

Dr Perez succeeds Dr. Joerg Strassburger who was MD and CR, Lanxess India for nine years.
