A little over a month after Nagesh Basavanhalli quit as president and managing director of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles India has announced the appointment of auto industry veteran Kevin Flynn as his replacement. A company statement says, “"Flynn will be responsible for strengthening the overall sales of the Fiat brand in India and the new brands that will be introduced in the country.”

Flynn, who has over 30 years’ experience in the automobile industry, comes to FCA India from Jaguar Land Rover, where he was managing director for the South Africa and sub-Sahara Africa markets. Flynn had joined Jaguar Land Rover in 2011. In India, Flynn will also handle the management of service, parts and customer care across over 132 dealerships in 98 cities across 24 states in India.
"With his breadth of experience and focus on customer experience, we are confident that Kevin will drive FCA India into the next phase of growth," said John Kett, vice-president and general manager, APAC Operations, FCA.
