Mumbai, December 17, 2012: Kapila Perrera has been appointed as head of aftersales at Porsche India with immediate effect. In his new role, Perrera reports to the organisation’s director Anil Reddi.

His responsibilities cover the entire spectrum of aftersales-related tasks. They include building up the technical expertise of qualified aftersales personnel through regular training offers, management of a sufficient spare parts stock and related logistics, as well as supervising the entire warranty process across the nation. Together with a team of experts, Perrera will also focus on the set-up of new, best-in-class service facilities throughout the country.

The 53-year old professional gained brand-specific experience, following a four-year employment as aftersales manager at Porsche Centre Kuwait from 2003 till 2007. Under his leadership, the press statement says, the team achieved commendable business results, contributing to the facility becoming the first Porsche Centre to score 100 percent in an internal After Sales audit. Most recently, Kapila was the head of aftersales at Zubair Automotive in Oman, where he led a team of 1,200 staff members across 24 dealerships.

Commenting on the appointment, Anil Reddi, director of Porsche India, said, “Kapila Perrera brings with him a wealth of experience in the automotive service environment. With his extensive know-how, he will be a valuable asset, as we set about building a solid service foundation for the Porsche brand in India.”
