JK Tyre & Industries has announced the commercial launch of the biggest ever tyre in India
JK Tyre & Industries has announced the commercial launch of the biggest ever tyre in India at this year’s 12th International Mining & Machinery Exhibition in Kolkata. The company also launched 18.00-25 VEM Smooth tyre at the same event.
The VEM 045 stands at 12 feet high and weighs 3.7 tonnes and has been specifically built for India’s biggest rigid dump-truck having nominal payload capacity of 240 tonnes. The launch of the product is part of the company’s aim to tap growth in the mining and infrastructure sectors in the coming months.
The 18.00-25 VEM Smooth is a specialised product for reach-stacker application to improve life and productivity. Its massive tread is designed for optimised tread wear.
Devesh Dabas, head of off-the-road business at JK Tyre, said, “JK Tyre is the only Off-The-Road tyre manufacturer with widest range of customised product-solution for Industrial and Mining applications. With better days in the offing, the mining industry holds great potential and we are ready to make the most of it.”
On other fronts, JK Tyre has begun making an entire range of ultra-large OTR tyres at its new state-of-the-art facility at Mysore.
