JK Tyre & Industries has announced the commercial launch of the biggest ever tyre in India at this year’s 12th International Mining & Machinery Exhibition in Kolkata. The company also launched 18.00-25 VEM Smooth tyre at the same event.

The VEM 045 stands at 12 feet high and weighs 3.7 tonnes and has been specifically built for India’s biggest rigid dump-truck having nominal payload capacity of 240 tonnes. The launch of the product is part of the company’s aim to tap growth in the mining and infrastructure sectors in the coming months.

The 18.00-25 VEM Smooth is a specialised product for reach-stacker application to improve life and productivity. Its massive tread is designed for optimised tread wear.

With better days in the offing, the mining industry holds great potential and we are ready to make the most of it.”
