It is aimed at A- and B-segment cars. With sizes suitable for the Maruti 800, Maruti Wagon R, Maruti Zen, Zen Estio, Alto and Hyundai Santro, the new range represents an attempt by the Indian manufacturer to grab a larger slice of the domestic small car pie. The new tyre has special hydroplaning channels for good handling in wet road conditions and anti-aquaplaning. The tyre is technologically advanced with the new concept of Unique Split Wing (USW) design which is claimed to provide excellent dry and wet traction. According to A S Mehta, marketing director, JK Tyre & Industries, “With the launch of Ultima Nxt, we demonstrate our leadership in advance technology in tyres. The unique features of this range of tyres include high control, smooth and silent drive.”
