Michelin India recently announced that it is the OE partner for the newly launched Honda Jazz hatchback, which is fiited with the company’s Energy XM1 175/65 R15 84T tyres.
With this partnership, Michelin has becomes the OE partner for all Honda passenger car models made in India.
According to the company, this range of tyres has been designed to protect the environment. “Our partnership with Honda clearly signifies the growing confidence among auto manufacturers for Michelin products and technologies. At our end, we always try to capitalise on every opportunity to demonstrate the benefits and value Michelin tyres can deliver – ranging from improved performance to better operating efficiency,” said Jean Paul Caylar,
CEO, Michelin India.
The tyremaker claims the Michelin Energy XM1 delivers good fuel efficiency, while ensuring longer tyre life and a smoother ride. Since tyres consume one-fifth of a car’s fuel, the Energy XM1 contains Michelin’s Green X silica compounds which reduce the amount of energy required to propel the car, saving fuel and the environment by reducing car emissions. It also delivers smooth, confident control at all speeds due to the second-generation Stress Equilibrium.
