Isuzu Motors India appoints Takashi Kikuchi as managing director
May 28, 2013: Isuzu Motors India has appointed Takashi Kikuchi as managing director. He will be based in Isuzu Motors India’s corporate headquarters in Chennai and will be responsible for overall operations and growth of the company.
May 28, 2013: Isuzu Motors India has appointed Takashi Kikuchi as managing director. He will be based in Isuzu Motors India’s corporate headquarters in Chennai and will be responsible for overall operations and growth of the company.
Mr Kikuchi brings with him diversified experience, having worked for over 30 years with Isuzu, holding a host of senior leadership positions. He has a proven track record, playing a crucial role in the company’s global strategy and scaling operations in international markets. In his last role at Isuzu as senior executive officer, Project Executive, Japan, he was instrumental in developing robust business plans and driving business growth.
In his earlier roles at Isuzu, he has managed Isuzu’s businesses in Asia as president of Isuzu Motors Asia and Thailand as president of Isuzu Motors Thailand, wherein he helped notch handsome growth in these markets.
A graduate from the Faculty of Law, Keio University, (Japan), Mr Kikuchi is well respected for his extensive skills and knowledge across various management functions including sales, planning, finance and general management.
Established in August 2012 in Chennai, Isuzu Motors India is a subsidiary of Isuzu Motors Ltd, Japan. The company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Andhra Pradesh government to set up LCV and SUV manufacturing plant at Sri City, Nellore district. The company has set up two dealerships in India, and started test marketing of its products – the D-Max pickup and MU-7 SUV – in February this year by opening showrooms in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh and Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
