India's biggest 2-Wheeler Industry Conclave opens on October 25

The most affordable form of motorised transport is the two-wheeler, and India is easily the largest manufacturing base as well as market for petrol-run scooters and motorcycles. And the advent of electric two-wheelers, the lead segment in the emerging electric mobility market, has just begun.

In FY2021, 1.83 million units (1,83,49,941) were produced – while 1.51 million units (1,51,19,387)were  sold in the domestic market and 32,77,724 two-wheelers were exported. These numbers though are a decline on the previous two years and the result of a country and world impacted by the pandemic. But resilient India Auto Inc is fighting back.

Of course, there is change in the two-wheeler market. On the one hand, manufacturers of conventional ICE vehicles are jostling in a tight race to sales revival while on the other electric two-wheelers are gradually carving out a place of their own.

Autocar Professional will address the various facets, challenges and opportunities across the two-wheeler ecosystem to bring you a comprehensive understanding of future trends in its mega Two-Wheeler Week – October 25-29, 2021, starting 10 am – every day.

Given the new normal of social distancing in a Covid-scarred world, this edition of the Two-Wheeler Week will be ‘digital only’. The debate and discussions every day will encompass key topics as well as burning issues of the two-wheeler eco-system. There will be a one-on-one conversation with captains of India Auto Inc followed by a panel discussion comprising  speakers representing every sub-segment of the two-wheeler industry from manufacturers to component makers and government representatives too.

This is a must-attend event for all stakeholders of the industry.
