Hyundai Motor India sells 38,205 units in August, down 17%

Hyundai Motor India has reported domestic market sales of 38,205 units, down 16.58 percent (August 2018: 45,801).

Hyundai Motor India sells 38,205 units in August, down 17%

Hyundai Motor India has reported domestic market sales of 38,205 units, down 16.58 percent (August 2018: 45,801).

Commenting on the August sales performance, Vikas Jain, National Sales Head - Hyundai Motor India, said, “In August, Hyundai Motor India has continued to be market leader in the utility vehicle segment while maintaining its market share in passenger vehicle segment with strong performance of the Grand i10 Nios, Venue, Creta and the Elite i20. We expect the coming festive season will be a turnaround period in the market with positive customer sentiments.”

One of the five new car launches last month was of the new Hyundai Grand i10 Nios. Meanwhile, demand for the company's first compact SUV saw the Hyundai Venue take the No. 1 UV spot, unseating the longstanding leader, Maruti Vitara Brezza in July 2019.
